FARGO, ND - Bail is set at one million dollars cash for the man accused of killing Fargo, ND, dentist Philip Gattuso.
Michael Nakvinda, 41, made his first appearance in Cass County Court Friday morning. He was returned from Oklahoma late Thursday afternoon.
Nakvinda is charged with murder, robbery and theft.
Gattuso's father-in-law, 63-year-old Gene Kirkpatrick of the Oklahoma City, OK, area, refused to waive extradition. He'll be brought to Fargo at a later date. He faces conspiracy charges.
Authorities say Kirkpatrick hired Nakvinda, who was his handyman, to kill Gattuso because he did not like the way Gattuso was raising his granddaughter after her mother died.
