Fargo Woman Charged With Felony Theft

A Fargo woman is accused of stealing her ex-boyfriend's car and selling it to a scrap metal dealer while he was in jail for assaulting her.

 

 

 

 

A Fargo woman is accused of stealing her ex-boyfriend's car and selling it to a scrap metal dealer while he was in jail for assaulting her.

Erica Peterson, 23, is charged with felony theft in Clay County District Court.

The 30-year-old man called police from jail to report he had learned from a friend that Peterson had taken his 1991 Mercury Marquis and not returned it.

According to police, Peterson admitted she sold the car for $80 and it was crushed.
