A Fargo man was arrested for shooting bottle rockets at passing cars and down the sidewalk near 25th Street and 15th Avenue South Friday morning.
Officer Patrick Fylling spotted the man at around 8:15 a.m.
"I was on my way down to take another call and I saw a gentleman out here shooting fireworks towards traffic on 25th Street," said Fylling. "I swung in here to talk to him and let him know that's not legal here in the city of Fargo. I'm not sure if he's inebriated or what the situation was, but got into a little bit of a confrontation and fought with us a little bit while we were trying to detain him and ID him."
The man, who was swearing at officers while he was handcuffed in a squad car, claimed to have suffered a broken leg during the struggle. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
