BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A homeless man is accused of stealing a shotgun from a downtown Bismarck store, then alarming people by walking across the street with it and hanging out in a parking lot.

Luke Eppler, 23, was charged with Class C felony theft of property.

South Central District Judge David Reich set bond for Eppler at $100,000 cash.

Police say officers were called to Gun City Monday morning for a report of a man stealing a shotgun.

When officers arrived, Eppler was standing near a tire store and had the gun leaning against the building.

Officers arrested him at gunpoint without incident.

Police say the shotgun was returned to Gun City.
