Manvel, N.D. Home Destroyed In Fire

A Manvel, N.D. home was destroyed following a lightning strike that sparked fire on Wednesday morning.

 

 

 

 

A Manvel, N.D. home was destroyed following a lightning strike that sparked fire on Wednesday morning.

The homeowner, 25-year-old Ashley Champagne, said the lightning struck at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday on the west end of the house.

Low visibility because of the storm hampered firefighters trying to respond to the scene. Once they arrived, it took about 20 minutes to knock down most of the flames.

No injuries were reported.
