BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Bismarck's Dakota Zoo is dealing with hot weather this summer instead of flooding.

The zoo is near the Missouri River, and it was closed for six weeks last summer because of high water.

Assistant zoo director Rod Fried says that attendance has been good, and the zoo is getting caught up on repairs.

Temperatures in Bismarck has been in the high 90s recently.

Fried says the zoo's animals are least active during the hottest parts of the day, but it's much better than having to deal with flooding problems.
