FARGO - A Fargo homeowner had a rude awakening early this morning. Police say the man heard noise around 2 a.m. and discovered a man inside, who then fled.

Police set up a perimeter and a police K-9 tracked the would-be burglar before losing the trail in the 3600 block of 22nd Street South.

The homeowner did not have his glasses on and was not able to give police a good description of the intruder.

Police discovered windows smashed out on several vehicles in the same neighborhood. It's not known if those incidents are connected to the burglary attempt. It doesn't appear anything was stolen in any of the cases.
