DILWORTH, Minn. - Charges have been filed in connection with a stabbing last week in Dilworth. Prosecutors say 47-year-old Rodrick Ponce stabbed a male acquaintance at the victim's home.
The victim told police the men were hugging when he felt a "pinch" in his back. Ponce claimed the man was injured after he accidentally fell backwards onto the knife. Both men were heavily intoxicated.
Ponce told investigators he is a non-violent person, but had killed someone in self-defense several years ago in Texas.
He's charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in substantial bodily harm.
