West Fargo Police are investigating an accidential shooting that sent a man to the hospital Friday afternoon.
Police, responding to the call, found the 22-year old West Fargo man with a gunshot wound to his right foot. Neighbors had already wrapped the foot to control the bleeding, and the man was taken to Essentia health. His injuries were not life-threatening. Police recovered a .22 caliber rifle, shell casing and bullet at the scene.
Assistant Police Chief Mike Reitan says the City Prosecutor will determine whether there will be charges filed for discharging a firearm in the city.
