MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Firefighters came to the rescue of an urban explorer who got stuck in a tunnel under a mill in Minneapolis.
Authorities say the man was stuck in the pipes under the Pillsbury A Mill for more than two hours. Fire officials sent in a technical rescue team to find an access point from the abandoned Pillsbury Mill on the other side of the road. Rescuers were able to climb down a ladder inside the mill and then lower themselves to the pipe system using ropes.
The man was able to walk to a waiting ambulance. Authorities say urban exploring is a dangerous activity and illegal.
