Moorhead Woman Accused Of Trashing Apartment With Bleach

A Moorhead woman who apparently wanted revenge against her former landlord is now in the Clay County jail.

 

 

 

 

MOORHEAD, Minn. - A Moorhead woman who apparently wanted revenge against her former landlord is now in the Clay County jail.

Clay County prosecutors say 39-year-old Sylvia Garcia poured bleach all over the floors of her apartment and caused nearly $2,700 in damages. Prosecutors say Garcia also wrote on the walls with different colors of paint.

Garcia admitted to police that she "left on bad terms", but denied damaging the apartment.

Garcia was charged with felony criminal damage to property. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
