North Dakota Secretary of State Al Jaeger and state Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem are talking about increasing the penalty for petition fraud.
The recent investigation that uncovered forged signatures forced the elimination of two citizen initiatives from the November ballot. Jaeger, as a guest on KFGO's Mike McFeely show, says thousands of people were disenfranchised by the fraud.
Fifteen people face charges of petition fraud, including 10 NDSU football players.
