North Dakota Gets First Big Sky Conference Win

The University of North Dakota has its first conference win as a member of the Big Sky.

 

 

 

 

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The University of North Dakota has its first conference win as a member of the Big Sky.

The UND volleyball team beat Montana on Saturday night 26-24, 25-15, 26-24 to notch the school's first conference win in any sport.

The UND football team beat Big Sky team Portland State earlier this month but it wasn't designated a conference game. UND opens conference play this Saturday at Sacramento State.

UND joined the Big Sky as part of the school's transition from the NCAA Division II ranks to Division I. The Big Sky includes teams from schools in several western states.
