FARGO - Gasoline prices in North Dakota have jumped an average of more than a dime a gallon in the past week to an average of $3.89 a gallon.
In Fargo, some stations are nudging $4 a gallon. Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy.com, says this is the highest prices have been in Fargo this late in the year.
DeHaan says he's optimistic the high prices will bottom out in the "mid-$3.50" range between Thanksgiving and Christmas. He blames the spike on production losses caused by Hurricane Isaac and refinery maintenance.
