Train Fatality In North Fargo

A fatal train accident occurred in Fargo early Sunday.

 

 

 

 

FARGO - A fatal train accident occurred in Fargo early Sunday.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. on the tracks west of the NDSU campus, near 12th Ave. and Dakota Drive.

Police Sgt. Mike Erbes says Amtrak's Empire Builder train hit a pedestrian. The 18-year-old male was dead at the scene. His name has not been released and it's not known if he was a student at NDSU.

The passenger train was held up for awhile as police investigated the fatality.
