Members of the Midwestern Governors Association met in Des Moines, Iowa to discuss increasing collaboration between states to showcase the region.

Gov. Dayton says they need to come up with a plan all the states in the Midwest will support. Dayton said competition with other parts of the country is good for retailers and politicians.

Host Gov. Terry Branstad suggested the Midwestern states focus on things they have in common like low-cost electricity.
