Winter could be coming early this year with heavy snow fall possibly in northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota from late Wednesday through Thursday.
The National Weather Service has officially issued a winter storm watch for most of the Valley.
One to three inches of snow is possible in the Devils Lake basin and parts of the northern Red River Valley could see 3-6 inches. Six or more inches of snow is a possibility in the Grand Forks, Grafton, Roseau, Hallock, Crookston, and Baudette areas.
Strong winds gusts could create blowing, drifting, and reduced visibility as well.
