A former Derby Girl who previously denied stealing thousands of dollars from the Fargo organization has changed her plea to guilty.

Louise Jauss' defense attorney and prosecutors had both asked the judge to sentence her to pay $10,000 restitution and receive credit for 10 days she had already served on electronic home monitoring.

But, the judge decided otherwise, sentencing Jauss to pay the restitution, spend an additional 25 days in jail, and serve one year of supervised probation.

The judge gave Jauss an opportunity for her felony charge to be a misdemeanor if she successfully completes all the terms of her sentence.

Jauss was the club treasurer for the Derby Girls.
