Fire Damages South Fargo Home Tuesday Morning

Fire Marshal Norm Scott said a woman who lives in the house was returning when she found smoke pouring from home.

A fire caused extensive damage to a home in south Fargo Tuesday. The fire broke out around 9 a.m. at 406 24th St. S.

It took about ten minutes to bring the fire under control. Fire Marshal Norm Scott said a woman who lives in the house was returning when she found smoke pouring from home. The woman was able to rescue two dogs and firefighters rescued her cat.

Scott said the fire appears to have started near a sofa in the living room. Damages were estimated at $60,000.
