A North Dakota native and former staffer to President George W. Bush is giving a talk Thursday in Grand Forks about the presidential election.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota native and former staffer to President George W. Bush is giving a talk Thursday in Grand Forks about the presidential election.
Mark Pfeifle worked for Bush as a deputy national security adviser for communications during the Iraq war.
He also served briefly as an adviser to Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
Pfeifle is the keynote speaker for a 7 p.m. public event Thursday in the community room of the Grand Forks Herald newspaper building.
Pfeifle is a native of Wishek in south-central North Dakota.
He is a former marketing and advertising director for the base newspaper at the Grand Forks Air Force Base.
