The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a Travel Alert for Thursday due to high wind conditions.
Strong winds may cause difficult driving conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles such as semis, trucks, busses and SUVs.
According to the National Weather Service in Bismarck, strong northwest winds of 40 mph gusting to 65 mph will persist through central and western North Dakota this afternoon, with the system expected to move east across the state throughout the day.
A Travel Alert means you can still travel but may encounter challenging driving conditions at times.
You are urged to monitor road conditions, reduce your speed, and drive with care.
