Nebraska Football Routs Minnesota

The University of Minnesota football team suffered a 38-14 blowout loss at number-16 Nebraska Saturday afternoon.

(Lincoln, NE) -The University of Minnesota football team suffered a 38-14 blowout loss at number-16 Nebraska Saturday afternoon.

The Cornhuskers scored on five of their first six possessions and outgained the Gophers 444 to 177 yards. MarQuies Gray scored two short rushing touchdowns late in the fourth quarter after Nebraska pulled all its starters. Quarterback Philip
Nelson went eight-for-23 passing for 59 yards with two interceptions.

Coach Jerry Kill said the Gophers are a better team than how they played in Lincoln.

Minnesota wraps up the regular season Saturday at home versus Michigan State.
