While the cold air doesn't seem to stop and despite what seems to be daily wind chill advisories, Fargo has been getting a break this winter on blowing and shoveling snow.
So far this season Fargo has received around 17 inches of snow - compared to an average of over 28.
January sports our coldest temperatures of the year but the average daily highs are starting to slowly climb.
Plus, in the past month the Red River Valley has picked up an additional 52 minutes of daylight.
Temps are expected to slowly moderate over the weekend.
