Free rent for people living in "FEMA" trailers in Minot is about to come to an end.
January 1st, those still in the government-owned trailers will have to begin paying rent.
700 "FEMA" trailers remain occupied following last year's Souris River flood.
At one point, about 2,000 trailers were scattered around Minot and Ward County. Rent for a three-bedroom trailer is $1,000 per month.
