BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Bismarck man has been promoted to colonel of the North Dakota Air National Guard.
David Skalicky was promoted to the position during a ceremony this week in front of family, friends and fellow Guard members at the armory in Bismarck.
Brig. Gen. Alan Dohrmann, North Dakota deputy adjutant general, presided over the ceremony.
Skalicky is assigned full-time with the North Dakota National Guard as the J-5 plans officer. He enlisted in the Wyoming Army National Guard in 1983 and received his military commission as an Engineer officer from the Northern Arizona University ROTC program.
