Residents in Fargo are being offered free bus rides to vote early.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Fargo residents are being offered free bus rides to vote early.
Voters in Fargo have the option of two polling sites on the city's south side, at the Doublewood Inn and the Hilton Garden Inn.
The precincts are open all week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Julie Bommelman, spokeswoman for the city's bus service, says the promotion was well-received when it was last offered, during the 2008 presidential election.
A regular adult bus fare typically costs $1.50. Bommelman says voters need only to inform the bus driver that they plan to vote.
Says Bommelman, ``We take you at your word and take you there.''
