7 Drivers Nabbed In Latest Texting Sting In Fargo

The latest distracted driving enforcement sting by Fargo police netted seven citations for texting, 1 arrest for driving under suspension, a couple of child restraint violations and a handful of other traffic citations.

 

 

 

 

The latest distracted driving enforcement sting by Fargo police netted seven citations for texting. One arrest was made for driving under suspension, a couple of child restraint violations and a handful of other traffic citations.

Sgt. Ryan Dorheim says in Thurday's sting, set up at 45th Street and 17th Avenue South, the traffic safety unit tried a different approach to nab violators. They used a bucket truck with an officer inside so it appeared someone was working on traffic lights.

They also had another officer walking down the street.

A texting violation will cost you $100. Another enforcement effort is planned next week.
