The first round of auctions for several buy-out homes in Fargo was cancelled yesterday because of the weather.
But the Fargo City Commission gave its flood update and discussed what to do with the seven homes located the Harwood Drive and Oak Creek Drive neighborhoods.
Commissioners focused on the pros and cons of salvaging and demolishing a home versus building a levy next to it.
The commission says by removing the homes in Oak Creek and building levies on the cleared areas could reduce the amount of sandbags needed by 25,000.
Another flood outlook from the National Weather Service is due out Thursday.
