Update: Emineth Seeks Injunction Against Campaign Ban

Former North Dakota Republican Chairman Gary Emineth is going a step further in his lawsuit that challenges the state's ban on election day campaigning.

 

 

 

 

Former North Dakota Republican Chairman Gary Emineth is going a step further in his lawsuit that challenges the state's ban on election day campaigning.

Emineth filed a request in federal court today asking a judge to grant a preliminary injunction. The request claims that the election day ban is an unconstitutional prior restraint on protected speech.

Emineth ultimately wants the law to be struck down on grounds that it violates the first amendment.
