Heitkamp Collects Most Votes, Berg Refuses To Concede U.S. Senate Race

Republican Congressman Rick Berg is refusing to concede to Democrat Heidi Heitkamp.

 

 

 

 

The U.S. Senate race in North Dakota isn't over yet. Republican Congressman Rick Berg is refusing to concede to Democrat Heidi Heitkamp. Heitkamp spoke to supporters in Bismarck at 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Heitkamp leads Berg by 2,994 votes with all precincts reporting. Berg issued a written a statement early Wednesday morning saying he'll wait for the canvassing process to run its course.

That won't be until next week.

Berg never addressed hundreds of Republican supporters who attended a GOP election watch party in Fargo.
