Democrats Make Gains In Fargo Legislative Races

Democrats have made some gains in some Fargo area legislative races.

 

 

 

 

Democrats have made some gains in some Fargo area legislative races. Democrat Tyler Axness was elected in Senate District 16. Republican Gary Lee was re-elected in District 22.

In north Fargo, Tim Flakoll was re-elected to the state Senate. Democrat George Sinner won in Senate District 46, beating Republican Jim Roers by about 300 votes. That race was very close until absentee and early votes were added to the totals.

Republican Ben Koppelman and Democrat Ben Hanson were elected in District 16. Wes Belter was re-elected while fellow Republican Peter Silbernagel was elected in District 22. Blair Thoreson, a Republican, was re-elected in District 44.

Democrat Josh Boschee also won a seat in the district. Republicans Kathy Hawken and Jim Kasper were re-elected to their House seats in District 46.
