Police Sgt. Ryan Dorrheim says the car had stopped at the stop sign at University Drive and 4th Avenue North, but pulled out in front of the motorcycle, which was headed south.

A motorcyclist was taken to Sanford Medical Center after his bike was hit by a car at a north Fargo intersection Tuesday afternoon.
Police Sgt. Ryan Dorrheim says the car had stopped at the stop sign at University drive and 4th Avenue North, but pulled out in front of the motorcycle, which was headed south.
Dorrheim says the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet and was conscious when he was taken from the scene by FM Ambulance.
Police planned to issue a ticket to the driver of the car.
