Fergus Falls Band Headed For D.C.

After a month of fundraising efforts, the Fergus Falls Marching Band is at ease, knowing they will be making the trip to the nation's capitol to perform at the presidential inauguration next week.

 

 

 

 

After a month of fundraising efforts, the Fergus Falls Marching Band is at ease, knowing they will be making the trip to the nation's capitol to perform at the presidential inauguration next week.

It's not the first time the community has pulled together to make it happen.

Fergus Falls sent the band four years ago for the 2009 inauguration.

But this time is different.

The school is sending more students, which means raising more money.

Thanks to generous donations, what would cost each Fergus Falls band band member $450 now will be free.

Town residents plan to line the road out of town Thursday afternoon to wave when the band's buses pull out of Fergus Falls bound for Washington.
