The Moorhead City Council is being asked to consider new restrictions for the adult entertainment industry. Police Chief Dave Ebinger says dancers and escorts who provide prostitution services is a growing problem. He tells KFGO News that requiring licenses for adult entertainers may be part of the solution.
Ebinger said “We’ve got a number of groups that move through here between the Twin Cities and the Oil Patch providing prostitution services under the mask of providing dances or escorts.” Ebinger said he wants to give the city council an update and determine how the city should address the problem.
Ebinger is putting together a presentation for the city council on January 22nd. He says similar ordinances are also being discussed in Fargo and West Fargo.
