Fire Destroys House In Shelly, MN

Blaze was reported early Sat. Morning

 

 

 

 

Fire has destroyed a home in Shelly, Minnesota north of Moorhead.

Assistant Fire Chief David Swenson says no one was in the house when the fire was reported around 1am Sat. He says he believes the people living in the house had moved to Texas for the winter.

A State Fire Marshal will look for the cause of the blaze. Swenson says the cold temperatures made it more difficult to fight the fire.

Shelly fire crews were assisted by the Halstad, Hendrum, Ada, Nielsville and Climax fire departments.
