Thieves made off with more than 6 tons of copper wire from Dakota Supply in Grand Forks over the weekend.
The company says the wire is worth more than $110,000, wholesale.
The company is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
The Grand Forks case is similar to several recent large copper thefts in Fargo.
Thieves broke into Fargo Electric, in the city's industrial park last month and stole more than $50,000 worth of wire. It was the second time the business was hit.
The burglars even used company equipment to load up the copper.
Sold, for scrap, the wire can fetch about $3.50 a pound right now.
