Small Car Carrying Big Chair Ditches Police

There are plenty of "interesting" items that end up in the evidence room of the Fargo Police Department. Guns, drugs and other items that are part of investigations are stored there. The newest item is one oversized, upholstered chair.

Police would like to find its owner because the chair was perched precariously on top of a small car that fled a traffic stop early Tuesday.

The car sped off at more than 80 mph when police tried to stop it. Because of the speed, police opted to not pursue it. But as the car turned onto 42nd Street South, The big chair fell off and the driver disappeared. A street crew had to be called in to remove the chair and haul it away.
