GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Seven refueling aircraft evacuated from a military base in New Jersey because of superstorm Sandy are being temporarily housed at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota.

The base says the planes with the 305th Air Mobility Wing came to the base Sunday from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in advance of the storm that is now pounding the East Coast. The Grand Forks base used to be home to air refueling tankers.

About 60 airmen with the 305th came with the planes. They are expected to remain until Wednesday or Thursday.
