A Fort Thompson man accused of illegally shooting wildlife has been sentenced to serve a year and a day in prison.

FORT THOMPSON, S.D. (AP) - A Fort Thompson man accused of illegally shooting wildlife has been sentenced to serve a year and a day in prison.
Twenty-five-year-old Richard Coleman also was ordered to pay $11,750 in restitution.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Coleman illegally shot a bald eagle, a snowy owl and deer late last year and early this year. Coleman also faced a weapons charge. He pleaded guilty in August.
