Five people are being awarded for their actions following a fiery crash north of Moorhead last month. Sheriff Bill Bergquist says Deputies Mark Empting and Sean Mork will be recognized in a ceremony next Tuesday. Three citizens, including a Moorhead High School student, will also be commended.
The Oct. 9 crash resulted in a car fire that trapped a woman from Minot. The woman pulled from the fire, 25-year-old Brianna Pallotta, was charged with felony DWI and criminal vehicular operation. Pallotta crashed into a car and injured a Hendrum, Minnesota man and his wife.
