Passersby Pull Man From Burning Car

A dramatic rescue on I-29 just north of 19th Ave. in Fargo Friday morning. A man was pulled from his burning car by passersby.

Fire Dept. Battalion Chief Dane Carley says there's no doubt that their actions save the man.  He says it was risky business but the rescuers smashed out a window to get the man to safety.

The car's engine and passenger compartments were fully involved when fire units arrived on scene just before 8 A.M. The man was take by ambulance to Essentia Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
