Marlo Bannor is one lucky man. The Fargo trucker was traveling I-94 west of Fargo Thursday night when a 3-ft long piece of metal went through the cab of his semi and struck him in the head.
State Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says Bannor was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Niewind says it appears a "cheater bar", which truckers use to tighten straps of flat beds is what hit Bannor. It's not known if it flew off another truck, or if it was on the road and he kicked it up with his own semi. Bannor told troopers he doesn't remember seeing any other rigs around him at the time of the incident.
