Grand Forks, N.D. (AP) The NCAA says University of North Dakota Athletic Director Brian Faison will represent the new National Collegiate Hockey Conference on the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Committee.
The group oversees national tournament team selection, seeding and bracketing, as well as administrative issues such as suspensions and fines during all rounds of the tournament. The committee also selects sites for the regionals and Frozen Four.
The committee is made up of one person from each hockey-playing conference. The eight-team NCHC begins play next season. Members are UND, Colorado College, Denver, Miami of Ohio, Minnesota Duluth, Nebraska Omaha, St. Cloud State and Western Michigan.
