GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The University of North Dakota has added a lot of Illinois to its football roster for next season.
Coach Chris Mussman announced Wednesday that 20 high school seniors have signed national letters of intent to attend UND. That includes eight players from Illinois.
Mussman also announced that two mid-year transfers have joined the squad, including offensive lineman Dustin Adams of Minot. Adams comes to UND from Northern Illinois.
UND signed one high school player from North Dakota, fullback Dustin Iverson of Elgin.
The team notched a pair of quarterbacks, Kurt Palandech of Plainfield, Illinois outside Chicago and Sam Riddle of Hillsboro, Oregon.
UND was 5-6 overall last season and 3-5 in its first year of Big Sky Conference play.
