Fargo Shanley senior A.J. Jacobson has been named Mr. Basketball for the state of North Dakota.

Bismarck, N.D. (AP) Fargo Shanley senior A.J. Jacobson has been named Mr. Basketball for the state of North Dakota.
The award is presented annually to the top senior through voting by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters And Sportswriters Association. Jacobson was one of seven finalists for the award.
A 6-foot-6 guard-forward, Jacobson averaged 26 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots and three steals. He received 11 first-place votes and 65 points.
North Star guard Jacob Hagler was second with three first-place votes and 33 points, followed by Nate Mertens of Devils Lake with one first-place vote and 25 points.
The other finalists were: Jacob Volk of Dickinson Trinity, Erron Collins of Mandan, Mac Kroeplin of Grand Forks Red River, and Trevor Zacher of Beulah.
