It's back to the drawing board in the search for a new police chief in Hawley. The position has been vacant since late last year, when former Chief Glen Hanson resigned to open a new business.

Mayor Gary Johnson tells KFGO News that 18 candidates from around the country applied for the job, but none of them turned out to be qualified.

The responsibilities and qualifications are being changed for the second round of applicants. Johnson says he's confident that the right candidate will be found.
