COON RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) - Police and the Anoka-Hennepin School District say they're investigating a group of middle school students who took a fight to Facebook that escalated with taunts of suicide.

Police say the online bullying began after female students from Blaine and Coon Rapids argued during a recent football game. Authorities say the girls took the fight online to Facebook and someone posted a message urging the Coon Rapids girls to kill themselves. Coon Rapids Capt. John Hattstrom says police take the threats very seriously.

Investigators say the suicide posts came from a fake Facebook account and they're still trying to track down who's behind it.

Earlier this year, the district agreed to be more proactive about bullying after settling a lawsuit over gender-based harassment.
