Man Killed In Stearns Co. Snowmobile Crash

A snowmobile crash in Stearns County turned fatal.

MELROSE, Minn. (AP) - A snowmobile crash in Stearns County turned fatal.

Sheriff John Sanner says a man crashed his snowmobile into a tree in Melrose Township New Year's Eve. The 33-year-old man from Grey Eagle was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The victim was wearing a helmet. Authorities say alcohol appeared to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
