GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The commander of the 319th Air Base Wind at the Grand Forks Air Force Base has been forced from his post after he failed to meet physical fitness standards.
The base announced Wednesday that Colonel Tim Bush was relieved of command of the wing.
Vice Commander Colonel Christopher Mann will replace Bush as an interim commander until a replacement assumes the command full-time.
A spokesman for the Air Force's Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois says Bush has requested to retire.
