Clay County sheriff's investigators have recovered a truckload of stolen items linked to a rash of burglaries near Valley City.

 

 

 

 

Clay County Sheriff's investigators have recovered a truckload of stolen items linked to a rash of burglaries near Valley City, N.D.

Detective Jason Hicks says the investigation began last month when deputies were called to a suspicious vehicle south of Moorhead. Upon arriving, they found two people with a pickup full of stolen tools: a generator, trolling motor, saddle, bolt cutters and other items.

Broc Buytaert, 32,  and Betsey Lee Runkle have been charged with possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and transporting stolen property. The items are valued at up to $5,000.
